Pat Summitt Documentary

If you follow Women’s College Basketball, then you must have heard of Pat Summitt. Coach Summit was a legend in NCAA women’s basketball prior to leaving the game due to early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Now, there is a rumored new documentary on Netflix that recounts her journey from player to becoming a legend at the University of Tennessee. According to a story at MyLifeMySport, “the film explores the way Summitt’s diagnosis affected her relationships with her players, her assistants, and her family. It features poignant moments with Summitt’s son, Tyler Summitt, who reflects on the emotional weight of watching his mother navigate her illness while still fulfilling her coaching duties. The documentary also takes viewers inside the Lady Vols’ locker room, where Summitt’s players rallied around her during this difficult time, offering their support and gratitude for everything she had done for them over the years.”
